🖥️✅ QGIS Interface Overview (Beginner’s Guide)
When you open QGIS, you’ll see several key components. Each plays an important role in managing and analyzing GIS data.
🟢 1. Menu Bar
Located at the top, it includes dropdown menus like:

Project
– create, save, open projects -
Layer
– add vector/raster layers, create new shapefiles -
View
– control toolbars, panels, and full-screen view -
Settings
– customize interface, snapping options -
Vector

, etc.
🧠 Think of it like the control center for all tools.
🟢 2. Toolbars
Just below the menu bar. These provide quick access buttons for frequently used tools like:

Measure Distance/Area
🎯 You can customize or hide/show toolbars using View → Toolbars

🟢 3. Layers Panel
Usually on the left side. It shows all loaded map layers (vector/raster):

Right-click for options like “Zoom to Layer”, “Export”, “Properties”

🟢 4. Map Canvas
At the center, this is your main workspace.

🟢 5. Browser Panel
On the left or bottom, it allows you to:

🟢 6. Attribute Table

At the bottom, it shows:
