🟢 Step 1: Visit the Official QGIS Website
🔗 Go to: https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/download.html
🟢 Step 2: Choose the Windows Installer
You’ll see two main installer options:
✅ Recommended:
QGIS Standalone Installer (Latest Release)

QGIS-3.xx.x-1-Setup-x86_64.exe

Click to Download the Standalone Installer.
⚠️ Other Options:

OSGeo4W Network Installer (for advanced users only – not recommended for beginners).
🟢 Step 3: Run the Installer
Once downloaded:

Double-click the
.exe
file. -
If prompted by Windows, click Yes to allow it to make changes.
🟢 Step 4: Follow Installation Wizard

Welcome Screen → Click Next

License Agreement → Click I Agree

Choose Installation Folder (default is OK) → Click Next

Select Components → Keep default settings → Click Next

Start Installation → Click Install
It will take a few minutes to install.
🟢 Step 5: Finish Installation

Click Finish when complete.

A QGIS shortcut will appear on your desktop.
🟢 Step 6: Launch QGIS

Double-click the QGIS Desktop icon (e.g., QGIS 3.36 LTR or QGIS 3.xx).

You now have the latest QGIS version installed on your Windows PC.
